Walk to Stop the Violence

Help us raise funds so we may continue to offer victims and survivors of domestic violence the help they need to live violence-free lives. Each year we help hundreds of victims escape from violent situations. The present A Safe Place shelter facility has twenty beds with individual living space. The Emergency Shelter Program provides up to 8 weeks of shelter and therapeutic environment for women and their children. An interim motel program is also available to provide emergency accommodations.

Raise Money
  Set a high goal and you’ll be surprised at how much you can raise. Ask everyone – your friends, family and co-workers – to sponsor you. If you make it a priority to ask, they’ll make it a priority to contribute. Many of your sponsors will give $50, $100, $250 or more.
   

Walk to End Domestic & Teen Dating Violence
  The 6-mile Walk consists of two laps around Lake Merritt. Join other walkers who believe in the mission of A Safe Place and who walk to raise urgently needed money to assist victims and survivors of domestic violence in our community.
